Open-Type IPX1 and IPX2 Water Resistance Testing Equipment

1. Introduction

IPX1-2 Vertical Rain Drip BoxWaterproof Testing Equipment is designed according to IEC60529 clause 14.2.1 and 14.2.2. It is applied to simulate the conditions of vertically dripping and dripping with 15 degrees tilted, and then to check if the products ( electronics, luminaire, electric components, auto parts and etc.) can meet the requirements. This is an open-type equipment with advantages of flexible compatibility, no restrictions on samples, and support for live testing.

This equipment consists by test frame, drip box, turntable and control unit.

1). The drip box adopts a 20×20mm matrix arrangement with numerous Φ0.4mm nozzles. The nozzle base is made of brass for easy assembly and disassembly. It can be connected to an air compressor to drain residual water after testing, effectively extending the service life of the nozzles.

2). The turntable is made of SUS304 stainless steel, with a standard load capacity of ≤50kg and customizable load capacity available. Controlled by a stepper motor, it runs at a constant speed of 1r/min. Its surface is equipped with positioning holes for fixing samples and can be tilted at 15° to meet the requirements of IPX2 testing standard.

3). The control unit consists of a touch screen and a PLC. Users set test conditions via the touch screen, and the PLC accurately controls the test process. The system has built-in IPX1 and IPX2 test programs, allowing users to start tests directly or customize test conditions.

4). The drip box features height-adjustable function to fit samples of different heights, while the 4-wheel-equipped test frame enables effortless mobility for flexible on-site use.
